The Calmato already has a well-earned reputation for helping so many newcomers earn their wings for solo R/C airplane flight. The flight characteristics are now even more beginner-friendly with this electric-powered version. Not just a quick engine to electric conversion, the Calmato EP 1400 has been developed specifically for optimal electric powered flight characteristics. The slightly thicker main wing has been newly developed to combine gentle flight speed and good lift while producing sharp forward penetration. Wing dimensions feature a larger wing area with slightly increased length. The result is mild control and predictable response, even in unpredictable situations. The fuselage is almost completely assembled, simply join the main wing halves and the tail wing, attach the rudder and servo linkages to finish the airplane. The included brushless motor produces high-power over long periods, ideal for the long flight times that beginners need. Just organize your own motor control ESC, lithium polymer battery with battery charger and radio system and you are ready for takeoff. With electric power, it is as easy as switching the power on to send your flying ability skyward.
